EXPLORE HAVANA 
OCTOBER 5-9, 2017

Day 1 – Miami to Havana

After your arrival, your VamosGlobal representative will accompany you to your hotel located in the heart of Havana. For your first taste of Cuba you will get brief orientation of the hotel and the surrounding area. Following your hotel check in, you will be taken to your welcome dinner at a local restaurant where you will enjoy traditional Cuban music.

Day 2 – Havana – Old Havana Four Plazas

After breakfast at your hotel, your VamosGlobal representative and bilingual tour guide will escort you on a discovery walk of Old Havana. Here you will visit the four main plazas that comprise Cuba’s first UNESCO World Heritage site. Your first stop will be the Plaza de Armas which is the site of the oldest Spanish fortress in the Americas and the location of the first mass in Cuba. You will then head to the Plaza de San Francisco de Assis and Plaza Vieja where you will visit local artist galleries and historic buildings of this colonial city. After winding through historic streets that span 5 centuries of historic architecture, you will end at Plaza de la Cathedral where you will visit the Baroque Cathedral.

After lunch at El Patio, you continue your discovery walk to visit local artist galleries and historic buildings that give you a true sense of this colonial city.

After you return to your hotel, dinner is on your own for this evening but we recommend you have dinner at waterfront restaurant Vistamar. Your tour guide will make reservations for you.

Day 3 – Havana – Capitolio, Central Park and Prado

After breakfast at your hotel, your VamosGlobal representative will escort you to the border of old Havana and Centro Havana municipality. Here you will explore numerous architecturally and historically significant buildings that exemplify a mid-19th century urban center. After, you will visit the Museo de Bellas Artes Cuban Museum, giving you a chance to see the Cuban collections homed in this striking modern mid-century building which was completed 1953. This Palace of Fine Arts house a collection that spans 4 centuries. Visit to Fine Arts museum and Revolution Museum.

Lunch at Castropol or similar choice

Stop of the day at the Plaza de la Revolucion (Revolution Square). Following your first stop, you will then head to Vedado District which is highlighted by the architecture of the modern area. Your visits this morning will also include a drive by the Mane Monument, the Malecon, Coppelia Park, the Havana Libre Hotel, Rampa District, Callejon de Hammel. This alley is located in the working class Cayo Hueso quarter that serves as an open-air Afro-Cuban Religion Sanctuary. Here you will be able to see murals that evocate the religion of Santeria by local artist Salvador Gonzalez.

After returning to your hotel, dinner is on your own for this evening but we recommend you have dinner at restaurant Wao. Your tour guide will make reservations for you.

Day 4 – Day Trip to Las Terrazas

After breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide will meet you and escort you on a day trip to Las Terrazas. Here you will learn about the history of this nature preserve which located west of Havana in the province of Pinar Del Rio. While there, you will also visit the Buena Vista Coffee Plantation. Which has been around since the 16th century and where you will learn about coffee production in Cuba.

Lunch on this day will be at Casa del Campesino. This typical rural home will prepare local delicacies for you in a wood burning stove. Following lunch, you will have a chance to visit the communities of Las Terrazas where you will meet local artisans and many world class artists. You will then finish your discovery for the day by visiting the San Juan River. Here you will get to enjoy some time to swim in this beautiful river and the surrounding nature preserve. Be sure to bring your swim suit today!

Farewell Dinner at local Paladar.

Day 5 – Check out and return to Miami from Havana.

After breakfast and check out from your hotel, your tour guide will meet you and escort you back to the Havana Airport for your flight back to Miami International Airport

For your first taste of Cuba you will get brief orientation of the hotel and the surrounding area. Following your hotel check in, you will be taken to your welcome dinner at a local restaurant where you will enjoy traditional Cuban music and meet Cuban Chamber Friends and Associates

Day 2 – Havana – Inside Cuba Business Briefing 

After breakfast at your hotel, the group will meet with the VamosGlobal and Havana Consulting Group associates (an economist and attorney) for a special, Inside Cuba Business Briefing. Learn valuable market information that is not of public knowledge;  Advantages and disadvantages of new investment law; Overview and Business Opportunities in the Mariel Special Development Zone; Relevant information on various key aspects of the country’s economy, with by-sector in-depth information on tourism, telecommunications, energy, retail market, private sector, and agriculture. Also included is a briefing on the purchasing power of the Cuban population, the financial system, external debt and other strategic topics of interest. We will have a Q&A at the end of the presentation.

Day 2 Oct. 31st – Havana International Fair Opening Ceremony & Private Business Briefing

8:30 AM         Breakfast at Hotel

11:00 AM      ExpoCuba Opening Ceremony at Plaza de las Banderas

12:00 PM       Lunch at El Divino Restaurant

5:00 PM         Evening at your leisure

Day 3 November 1st –  FIHAV 2017

9:00 AM         After breakfast, Transfer to ExpoCuba for day at the FAIR; Lunch on your own at the Fair Premises; Afternoon time to visit Exhibit Pabillions/Halls in ExpoCuba

5:00 PM         Transfer back to the hotel. Rest of evening at leisure.

Day 4th November 2nd –  FIHAV 2017

9:00 AM         After breakfast, Transfer to ExpoCuba for day at the FAIR; Lunch on your own at the Fair Premises; Afternoon time to visit Exhibit Pabillions/Halls in ExpoCuba

5:00 PM         Transfer back to the hotel. Rest of evening at leisure

Day 5th November 3rd FIHAV  – Closing Ceremony

9:00 AM         After breakfast, Transfer to Expocuba for day at the FAIR; Lunch on your own at the Fair Premises; Afternoon time to visit Exhibit Pabillions/Halls in ExpoCuba

4:00 PM         Return to hotel to freshen up for Evening Activities

6:00 PM         Transfer to PALACIO DE LAS CONVENCIONES for award Ceremony and Official Closing Ceremony of Havana International Fair. Dinner on premises.

Day 6th November 4th –  Departure to USA

11:00 AM      After breakfast, check out, and transfer to International Airport Jose Marti for outbound flight to USA
